About
Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia was a keepsake memory. There were big, beautiful southern magnolia trees in my yard where I would play hide-and-seek and peek-a-boo in. The scent of the magnolia flower was noticeable around me and drew me closer.
My fond memories from childhood and beyond are what I would like to share with you that are unique to Southern culture. Some of my favorites are from my surroundings, whether that be phrases I would hear, foods I would eat, scents I would smell, and the beauty around me.
So, slow down to smell the magnolias with me. We all need the slowing down to embrace the beauty of life surrounding us.
